milani has done the entire corporate design and parts of the interior design of an animal hospital on behalf of a Swiss customer (announcement to be expected in 2015). Taking one’s pet to the vet is an emotional topic for everybody involved, similar to the health and wellbeing of children. Hence, when redesigning a major animal hospital a merely functional architecture and process planning is not sufficient. Generally, architects hardly take the trouble to study the existing specific handling and process features of the users. Far too often, architects take note of the desired future functions but implement them in their usual characteristic style.
milani has a complete different approach to architecture briefings: the building should reflect the very individual character and the distinctive style of the main players working there. Our starting point is the analysis of the individual company-DNA which serves as basis for all tangible and visual aspects. Such DNA is then implemented into all internal (cultural behaviour) and external aspects (interior design, communication, etc.).
