Medical product & UX/UI design for the smart fertility tracker Daysy

Award-winning product design for FemTech company

Valley Electronics AG is an internationally operating and researching medical technology company for intelligent fertility solutions. The task was to develop the product design for a new FemTech product that supports women in making self-determined decisions in natural harmony with their bodies.

The lifestyle fertility tracker Daysy allows women striving for a health-conscious lifestyle to monitor their individual monthly cycle and to determine their fertile and infertile days in natural harmony with their bodies. Milani developed a product design that conveys both femininity and clarity. Since the unit measures the basal body temper­ature under the tongue, its form and haptics are inspired by a spoon, resting comfortably in the hand. The friendly aesthetics and intuitive operation make this tracker a congenial daily companion. 

Daysy was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Award Product Design 2019. The jury's statement: «Daysy succeeds in striking a balance between reliable medical device and aesthetically pleasing lifestyle product. The shape reflects its high degree of comfort and intuitiveness.»
