Zumtobel Lighting

For more than 60 years, the Zumtobel brand has stood for innovation, unique product and service quality, and sophisticated design. LITECOM is a lighting management system that intelligently provides the right light at any time of day or night. From installation to use, the system can be set up easily and without expert knowledge. The commissioning software provides step-by-step support during installation and thus enables access to the complex world of light and building control

V-ZUG

A UI concept was developed for the new line of appliances of V-ZUG, which is controlled via a full-color display as well as via an LCD display. Despite the wide range of functions and complexity of the appliance, cooking should be at the center of the user experience. The simple operation, where even new functions such as "Gourmetguide" or "Tender cooking" can be found and operated intuitively, was honored with an IF Gold Award

Belimed Medical

The international manufacturer Belimed Medical produces washers and sterilizers that meet the highest standards of reliability and operating safety. Together with milani, the next generation of machines was developed, initiating a radical reorientation of the Belimed control platform. The WD290 IQ is the first Belimed washer to be equipped with a full-touch display and enables complex operating procedures in the central sterilization department (CSSD) without the support of external software.

Bosch Healthcare Solutions

In several innovation sprints, Bosch Healthcare Solutions is developing a home health monitoring device together with milani. milani put the user at the center of the study and develops various operating concepts up to hardware and software prototypes. This user centered design approach uncovers strengths and weaknesses in the system context and provides an excellent basis for decision making for the further development of the new product category.

proven usability Process

Depending on the application context, a client may have stricter requirements for their user interface in terms of operational security and risk management. Milani offers a tried and tested usability process that guides clients through the development from start to finish from the perspective of the user and considers external factors such as standard requirements and use scenarios from the beginning. As part of our application-based approach, we encourage simple usability tests (with pen and paper) early on in the project and we directly integrate these results into our solutions.

Our sprint-based process allows us to continually refine requirement profiles and, in the process, uncover risks and manage them through suitable design measures. We also carry out formative usability tests with click prototypes as needed in order to determine additional security-relevant factors. This ongoing dialog between design and usability allows us to create solutions that are not only visually impressive, but also feature exceptional security.
