Creating a modern design language to strengthen brand positioning
Monnier + Zahner, known for its high-quality machine tools for the automotive, watchmaking, medical and dental industries, was about to develop a new product and wanted to take the opportunity to refresh its existing design language. In the B2B sector, customer demands for product design had steadily increased. Design expression plays a crucial role in communicating the brand's core values and contributes significantly to the brand experience. In the face of increasing competitive pressure, it was crucial to develop a contemporary design language that would strengthen the brand's positioning.
The collaboration with Milani began with an analysis of the broad product range and the market landscape. Using a specially developed DNA method, Milani and Monnier + Zahner were able to quickly define the current and future brand positioning and translate it into product design. On this basis, Milani created a modern design language that corresponds to Monnier + Zahner's brand identity and can be applied to the wide range of products. The new design language ensures that all products are instantly recognizable and have an unmistakable identity.
Sophisticated industrial design for new grinding machine
Milani immediately implemented the new design language for the new M681 Mediline, the modular rotary transfer grinding machine for endoprosthetics. The product design looks solid, intelligent and sophisticated at the same time. The user interface has also been optimized and made clearer and more modern.
The clear and uncluttered design language and the new operating concept create a calm overall image, while the integration of blue as a brand accent color ensures clear brand recognition. At the same time, the new design language blends harmoniously with the existing product range. This new design has already been successfully adapted by Monnier + Zahner for other machine types.
With the new product design, Milani has not only raised the grinding machine to a new level and attracted a lot of attention at trade fairs, but has also positioned Monnier + Zahner as a modern company in the market.
